Just saw this review on the Bodyguard. Decent review for newcomers. I agree, the slide/frame is a little too short for me!

I felt one at my LGS but it just didn't "speak" to me. I CCW my Ruger LCP Max front right everywhere.

I live by the POGO rule = Pants On Gun On and it hasn't been a problem yet.

Since August of 2024, I’ve watched way too many YouTube video reviews of the BG2.

For me, most of the self-identified experts leave out important information for a person seriously considering a very small, lightweight carry defense pistol.

From 1 to 10, 10 being the higher rating, those guys get an EDC 3.

Respectfully disagree: I give the BG 2.0 an EDC 7.5. I give all those videos of it on YouTube a 3.
Hey ImDrRich,

At this point, having “gunsmithed” my BG2, I will also give it an EDC 7.5.

I still can’t certify it as my RAT (Reliable And Trustworthy) defense carry.

I’ll be at the range tomorrow to put more rounds through it with the tweaked factory sights.

I need to be able to match my P365 Micro’s accuracy at 4, 7, and 12 yards – a double tap in the A Zone - consistently.

It’s a snappy little thing and I’m working on my grip and trigger control.

The XS Sights may be in the future.

GnarlsR2 -

I think you will be extremely happy with the XS R3D sights - a complete game changer for me.

After 1,000 rounds (the last 600 without any flaws) and some good cleanings in between, I'm convinced and it's in my EDC rotation, along with my Sig P365X, S&W Model 49, and S&W 442-1.

I had hand surgery in January and the real recuperation time is 4 to 6 months so, while I can pull the triggers on my revolvers, my index finger still hurts (waaay too much info, I know). Anyhow, I just really like the damn thing and it's so pretty! 😂

If I can't get the accuracy I want tomorrow at the range with the factory sights that I've drifted, I may go ahead and order the XS sights.

I appreciate your posts and commentary on your experience with your BG2.

I think the XS sights are worth the upgrade, I've found them helpful.

I love the BG2.0 and it's my daily pocket carry. Sure, I prefer my Shield plus but it's just so easy to drop that in the pocket.

I agree.... I've carried a Colt 1911 Mark IV Series 70, Charter Arms snubnose 38, a P365XL, P365 Micro, and now the BG2. I tried to pocket carry my P365 Micro but it wanted my attention constantly. The BG2 is really nice to pocket carry. Depending upon the style of pants, in the Muddy River Tactical kydex, it will print a little, but it's light weight makes my carry almost unnoticed. With 9 rounds in the 10-round, in the kydex, it weights 1 lbs. 0.6 ozs.

That is exactly the same weight as 2 boxes of 20 of PMC Bronze 223 55gr FMJ-BT. :giggle:

Got back from the range today…

I shot about 50 more rounds of a gifted box of 2008 Winchester FMJ Flat Nose, through my BG2. I had one failure to fully chamber. First failure to fire. It’s old range only ammo?

One of my very experienced range buddies shot it. He said he does NOT like the sights, and it’s not as snappy as his LCP, He is not a 380 fan but the best 380 he has shot is the SIG P238, but he does not like the 1911 style manual safety. His defense carry is a P365 Micro, but may be switching to a Shadow CR920 with a green dot. I shot the CR920 and I do not like it as much as the P365 Micro. I picked it up and popped in a mag and it pinched my pinky side palm!. That is an iimmediate “No-Go” for me.

My BG2 is still shooting about 1” to the left. I will be changing sights. When ArmaLaser or Crimson Trace releases their green laser, I will buy one.

I had the same problem with a couple of micro guns and started raising my pinky outward during reloading. The pulled the side of my palm away from the gun enough to avoid pinching.
