Looking for recommendations on a trigger kit to install on the Bodyguard. I've read that some kits are responsible for light strikes after installed.
So, Im just looking for advice before taking out the factory trigger and replacing with something thats 'user friendly'

Im torn between selling or installing a trigger and keeping.

Thanks

I purchased it, installed it and love it. Carry it daily and shot over 1000 rounds at the range with no problem.

Sir, what kit did you have success with?

Thanks.

What kit Michael380? I was just watching a YouTube video and saw conflicting info on the Galloway kit. Some light strikes, some not light strikes. But could be the ammo. I know my Bodyguard is kind of picky on ammo. Thanks

Screw the Bodyguard....I sold it and bought an LCP MUCH better trigger and the Hogue grip is awesome! I can now shoot more than 10 rounds with ease.

I purchased the Galoway kit and haven't had an issue with it. Basically installed it myself with help from you tube. Polished all parts as suggested by some before reassembly. Proper lube and you should not have a problem. The tear down of the trigger assembly isn't the easiest thing to do but if you have good mechanical skills, it becomes second nature after a few disassembles. As far as the LCP goes, my nephew has one and I have shot it numerous times and no way would I want one. Racking it sucks, no sights to speak of, no slide hold back and kicks a lot harder. Feels like a toy in my pocket. For just a few more ounces in weight, the BG feels good in my hands. Never even know it's in my pocket. My BG came without the factory laser and I added the Crimson Trace. I grip the weapon and on it comes. I sighted it at the range and drifted my mechanical sights accordingly. Just a great gun. To each his own. Some guys drive Fords, some drive Chevys and some drive whatever. I carry the BG in my pocket everyday and love it.

Bodyguard .380 safety

Reading the posts by all you guys about this gun, I have decided to stick with it over other makes even after shooting it for the first time.

The trigger pull is atrocious, and I am considering the Galloway to fix that.

I just sent the laser back to S&W because it would not adjust elevation far enough to see it over the iron sights, and the adjustment screw came out as I tried to do the adjustment. Will see if the replacement fixes the problem.

Question: I firmly believe in a mechanical safety, won't buy a semiautomatic without one. Does anyone have experience with a replacement safety and a replacement magazine release that would give more contact surface so they are easier to manipulate--and can you recommend what works best?

Thanks for your help.
