I have the original Bodyguard and have shot maybe 500 rounds. After cleaning it I'm having lots of trouble with it cycling to kick out the casing and reload into chamber. I thought maybe there was too much oil so took it apart and dried it out. Also I started using a different ammo at that same time (95 grain winchester). It was some bulk ammo I ordered. I see the previous ammo I used was 100 grain. But I'm still having trouble. It's very random when it decided it's not going to reload. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this gun known to be particular on ammo? Any help is appreciated!

That's not normal. Without a more specific description of what is going on, it's difficult to diagnose over the internet. Could be the ammo, could be the magazine, could be a cleaning/lubrication or re-assembly issue, could be a broken part, etc.

I've have/had several of these guns with thousands of rounds through them without a problem. But any mechanical object can suffer a broken part.

My BG1.0s have been stone reliable in a fair amount of shooting. But it took 3 to get 2 good ones; they either ran from the very beginning....but one did not.
