As noted, some folks around the country are starting to find ammunition in their stores, some even reporting somewhat civilized pricing.

My question, is anyone on the East Coast starting to see any powder and primers becoming available? Perhaps any at near pre-plandemic prices?

As of 2 LGS a few days ago and a small gun show yesterday-----NO!

Last Friday, at a sale at a RI gun store, I got an 800 round brick of Federal .22 LR, 40 grain RN lead for $79.99. That's about half the price I see in CT stores if they even have some.
Three weeks before that, they had a 500 round brick of Blazer .22 LR for $59.99.
Not great prices, but way better than $100.00 per 500 rounds.

PS: I also picked up a pound of Winchester WSF powder for $37.99 and a pound of 231 for $34.99. That's about $10.00 to $12.00 more per pound than I'd expect to pay at Cabela's.
They had primers, but only large rifle and I didn't need any so did not look for the price.

I should also note that they had plenty of other ammo but I did not check all the pricing. I bought 2 boxes each of .300 Savage and .38 Super and honestly don't remember what I paid.

Locally, prices have skyrocketed on powders. Less than a month back powder was selling around $30/lb. The same powders at the same location are now priced at $50 and up.

With the warmer weather coming on, I likely won't shoot that much. I have yard work to do. Going try and stay away from supply shopping for a while.

Friends in Conn. told me the other day one of the biggest shops in Ct. had powder the other day...and was sold at around $30 a pound 2# limit...

Zip, zilch, nada here in Orygun. Ammo, brass, primers, powder, nuttin. Shelves are empty and have been for months.

Bass Pro Shop here near me even took down the primer and powder shelves.
