Bondi Making Adjustments to ATF

This one paints a different picture. Some ATF resources shifted from alcohol and tobacco to immigration. No change to firearm enforcement, and in fact some gun rights groups are cautious about Bondi due to past acts as Florida AG. Plus, if we are to clamp down on guns being trafficked to Mexico, as recently promised, ATF must grow...gunna need a guano load of agents to tackle Mexico's cartels with guns problem.

In the 90s my unit was doing some work in Central America. I tried to get my Commander to let me bring back a couple AK47s, on the Battery inventory, for training purposes. Going rate for a AK47, with no country of origin markings, was around $45 US. Rumor was these were coming from China. I had a hard time understanding why the drug cartels were going north to pay $500 for a semi automatic AR 15 when they could go south and get a select fire AK for $50.

Yeah, we got spoiled.

This isn't anything new. History repeats itself. There is nothing new under the sun, and those who are ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it...

Or at least repeat the mistakes.

FWIW, I couldn't care less about his personality.
All I care about are a person's qualifications and what they can, and do get done.

I don't care about his personality, either, but his word salad is a match for a former VP of the USA and totally non-informative as far as I am concerned. If he said something important I missed it.
