Just purchased Roy G. Jinks book, History of Smith & Wesson (1st ed), and received it in the mail. Opened it and was pleasantly surprised to fund it was autographed. Then it got better as I was scanning through the pages and found the check in the photos. Not that I'm going to part with it but, I would be curious of the value if anyone has any idea.

I have no idea what the value might be, but finding a check written and signed by D. B. Wesson is pretty cool. Makes me wonder how that check came to be in the book.
I wondered that myself. I'm just assuming since the book was autographed by the author, the original owner was probably a S&W collector who had the check and stuck it in the book maybe to protect it from being torn, bent, or lost.
I have already ordered an appropriate sized acrylic holder so I can display the check in my S&W curio cabinet with all my other S&W themed items.

Currently hanging on my wall. Paid around $5 for it on eBay and then paid $80 to have it framed. I'm thinking someone at some time was giving these out.

You could be correct about someone giving them out. I just think it is really cool. I'm a big history guy and this is owning a piece of history.
