Here are pics of my Model 19. Nickel plated guns are tough to photograph. I've included several different pics since I can't decide which I like the most. I can't seem to completely eliminate the reflection of the camera onto the gun.

3rd pic was the best...it was the only one that showed the gun was definitively nickel

You might try shooting through a hole in your reflector, also using more than one reflector can help, putting the subject in a light tent can also work. Your getting close though, nice revolver:)

:) The third picture in the first group was best. Overall the
second group of pictures is best. In the second group the
third picture is best [I think] Hard to be sure.
Wish I could take pictures half as good as you. I have
been experimenting over the past month and getting nowhere.

If you are using the camera's flash try puting a piece of Scotch tape over it. Not the clear but the translucent. It will act as a difuser. You can also use a light weight handkerchief.

The reason #3 in the first group look good is that it is 'flat', there are no distinct blacks or whites. Everything is kind of grey but visible. Which is what you want in a technical photo.

I think the 4th pic of the first groop looks best to me..
Those are some great pics..
Here's the one that looks best to me

I agree, probably because it has the best focused shot of the "Smith & Wesson" on the barrel. If that was the focal point with plenty of depth of field, then the pin in the barrel and cylinder should also stand out more. That would allow brightening, as needed.

Great pics TS150! Nice gun, too!

Your Playing Looks Serious

I really would enjoy owning all those M-19s you have, seriously, your photo ability is certainly worth the "Playing" time you are spending. Well done, I like them all.
