Bored tonite. Let's see some house guns

Normally... HD duty is tasked to my RIA 1911-A1. The house is brick and the nearest neighbor is at least 75 yds. away. Those houses are also brick, so I don't think I have to worry about endangering them. At present, a 21-4TR is handing HD as a new replacement front sight is being fitted to the 1911. Feel very good w/ the 21-4... the .44 Special is just about ideal for such work, or at least Elmer Keith thought so. Sincerely. brucev.

One of these is always nearby.

or a boring Glock 30SF which has no soul but should get the job done,

Here's my assortment, you've seen some of them before. From top to bottom:
1. Colt Series 70, 45 ACP. The bedroom gun. Clark did some work on it. Has night sights and 10 round magazine as it's not a pocket gun. Federal 230 gr HPs. Goes with me when I travel, too, as I have a nylon holster that can attach to the bed.
2. RIA Compact, 5 ACP; lives next to my computer. Nothing done to it so far; needs Clark stippling and night sights. 7 round magazine as it might go into my pocket if the doorbell rings at night when I'm on the computer. Federal 230 gr HPs.
3. S&W 625 Mountain Gun in 45 Colt, loaded with Speer 250 gr HPs. Spegel grips. It's in the drawer of the end table next to my recliner. Anything coming in the door isn't going to walk out again.
4. Colt Combat Commander, 45 ACP, Federal 230 gr HPs. Novak night sights, Clark stippling and other minor tweaks. 10 round magazine. It's in the Gun Room; if I'm in there and I hear 'noises off', it will go with me when I investigate.

All get shot with handloads frequently, mostly plinking, to keep my hand in, and insure the guns are working OK too.

Model 66 in 2 1/2 inch is handy as is a Remington 870 Marine Magnum. Live in the country so over penetration of walls isn't so much a concern. Closest neighbor is in a direction I wouldn't be likely to shoot.
I had a Bushmaster Patrolman too but due to space limitations it is in the safe now.
I normally have a model 37 in my pocket though and what I would likely have available first.

Benelli M1 Super 90 tactical, got it cheap and added upgrades. 8+1 of 12ga 00buck and shot will stop anything. Can't see in the photo but I also have a surefire light attached and added a sling. The compensator choke works pretty well too. I simply don't understand why so many people use rifles and pistols when you can use a shotgun. Its also my biased opinion that a benelli semi-auto is as good as it gets, and a semi-auto over a pump is the way to go in defense situation. I've short stroked my 870 too many times in a rapid fire situation.

Some nice hardware on here, but I've got to make fun. On those black guns, you think you've got room for a coffeemaker, GPS, and DVD on there?
Arik, now THAT'S tactical!
