Born On Date, 19-4

I have a Model 19-4 in hand. 2-1/4" barrel, Polished nickel, S/N 26K8057.

The way I read the 3rd edition, it says that 1978 Started with 25K0001 and 1979 ended 56K9999, So that puts this revolver somewhere in March of 1978, maybe?

That's one way to look at it. However, the SN range dates are manufacturing dates, not shipping dates, which could be somewhat later. A factory letter would be required to establish the shipping date.
