I know you’re thinking: “ugh! why?” Truth is I’ve owned a few Glocks in the past, mostly G20 and 29, but as part of a trade a few weeks ago I came into possession of a ported Storm Lake .357sig barrel for a G27. So I said: “what the heck, I’ll give it a try.” So I found a suitable used sub $400 G27 on GB as a guinea pig for my experiment and I’ll let you know how it’s does. I’ll probably shoot it a bunch over the next few months, then tire of it and trade it away or sell it. Just thought I’d share.:)

I have two Glocks in my mangerie, a 27 and a 33 ;)
My 27 I use for a CCW and love it! The 33 came later as gift from my son!
Anyway I think you'll like the 27....;) Enjoy!,,,,

I'm a revolver guy....will probably always be a revolver guy. Carry one every day...however... I'm picking up a Glock this weekend.

Never owned one before but have shot them enough to know they work with boring consistency.

I agree they ain't pretty, I really don't want to like them....but they do work really really well....

Here’s a couple of pics

I put the barrel in it when I got home and took some pics of it. I think it looks pretty bad***

Maybe I should have started the thread: “Hi, my name is Tom and I bought a Glock today.”:D

Funny thing happened. I got out of the army, and this guy told me he would give me a car, a new belt, a gun, and pay me to drive around this city and deal with the silly people. Only catch was the gun was a Glock.

I took him up on the offer. Car is decent, belt doesn’t need shined, and pay is pretty good. People are looney tunes sometimes. And the gun ain’t pretty. But it works.

Plus side is I get to carry a cool little 640, but I’m not allowed to let the public see it. I think it’s cause if they see that, they might ask why the other gun isn’t so pretty.

My half Glock, a 30sf frame with a Advantage Arms .22 LR conversion unit. It actually works, unlike the first one I had.

I've only owned two Glocks, a 22 and a 19, both second generation and both bought lightly used.

They've been gone since I went back to revolvers only, twenty years ago.

I liked both the Schnitzel burners, and certainly wouldn't mind owning the 19 again today; but I think I've now bought my last gun.

I've had revolvers and metal framed semis for decades. And I've shot Glocks. But for my first poly pistol I had to stay with the S&W family and opted for S&W's Glock interpretation-the SD9VE. It's boringly reliable and has great combat accuracy. Plus I like the grip angle better than the Glock.
