The used one I bought is back at S&W on their dime having the trigger smoothed, and I needed another one for a downstairs house gun for MrsDoc.

Looked and looked at used ones around $300 after shipping.

Said "wth?" and bought a brand new one from Academy for $339.

Even with the stiff trigger it's a deal at that price for 17 rounds of 9mm and a S&W warranty.

I'll mount the laser on it, but probably won't put a laser on the car gun.

Definitely not a Glock, but the price was right!

(Ok, let's hear your stories of buying them new years ago with a $50 rebate)

Maybe, maybe not.

I haven't seen any new Glocks around here for $339, and that was actually about $50 over my budget for a car gun.

I'd just sold the M360, made some money, and now have a new Smith in hand rather than a Glock out there in "find-a-deal" land.

Kind of like buying a Craftsman instead of a Snap On.

And, if you meant "in utility", I agree.
Damn near a Glock.

After the trigger is broke in, it's better than a glock.
I can weaken the trigger pull on the Sigma, I cannot change the grips and sight axis on a glock.
Sigmas are the best grip in the business.

I stopped by the local sports/archery/gun shop today (just a little private shop) and they had used sigmas for *drum roll please* $449.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost laughed out loud. People talk about California gun prices being high, but here in the Chicago suburbs, I would never even THINK about buying a gun in the immediate area. I know of one place I will, and have, buy firearms from, it is a 45 minute drive from me but the price difference is SO worth it. RIDICULOUS the prices around here.

I bought a used 40VE for $189 at a gun store, in Newington, CT., about 6 months ago. Next to my used $189 40VE was a used 40VE for $375. I asked the salesman what gives, he said on consignment gun sales owners have different opinions and expectations. I said I'd take the $189 40VE and I'm glad I did.

I bought my 40VE a little over a year ago For $300 with the $50 rebate and the 2 extra mags. About 2 weeks ago I came up with a 9VE Allied Forces for $275. Love them both.

A Allied for 275 is quite a deal. Nice find.
I shake my head at these prices for such a gun. I like them better than any pistol I have ever owned and they sell for a little more than Hi Point prices.
It amazes me. Absolutely amazes me that such a fine gun can be such a secret when people are so in love with buying MP's for twice as much.
And makes me happy I suppose, I can get more.

My wife picked one up last month. Really a nice gun. I have been shooting it at the range and like it.
I hear alot of complaints about the heavy trigger, doesnt seem that bad to me.
let us know how the trigger job at the factory goes.

Ain't no secret...it's S&Ws number 1 seller.

]Did they give you any grief about doing warranty work on a used gun? I purchased mine used also and the warranty card was not in the box so I assume that serial number was already assigned to the first owner.
