Hi! I recently bought this revolver for $400 is that a good price?
Got 100 rounds of .357 FMJ and 25 hollow points as well.
Can you guys please help me put a date to it and tell me how much do you guys think is worth.
Timing is perfect and is very tight.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like a nice 586. I can assure you that you didn’t pay too much but I am not current on values so shouldn’t speculate about that. I’m sure in my area of the country that gun would almost certainly sell for more than $400, even without any ammo. :D

Congratulations on your new revolver. :)

Thanks. One more for the collection :D

My 586 was shipped in 1983. 4" barrel. I've got under $500 in mine (trade & $$$) That was roughly 8 years ago. You won't get deals like yours very often. Bob

FWIW I briefly owned 586 AEN 22xx. I purchased it new in Jan of 1985.
It cost $265 then. I would take an educated guess that your revolver was made sometime in mid to late 84. As Hawg Rider indicated, $400 is a very good price. Enjoy that 586! I never got the chance to get to know mine.
