Brand New in box M&P 45..No spent shell casing?

They don't include them any more. It was a really stupid idea to begin with. You can't really identify a gun by the fired casings. If you could criminals would just scatter odd casings or use revolvers to confuse the police. Maryland had the last one and they did away with the requirement.

The dealer I bought my gun from (large very reputable)Stated that The fired case is only mandatory in some states and comes at additional expense, so he opts for the cheaper version

You didn't fall for that one did you?;) There was no difference in the cost of the pistol either with or without and I don't understand why everyone is so concerned about a missing shell casing.

Bought a semi and a revolver and neither one came with brass.
Neither one came with a plastic box. Or cleaning rod for that matter.

I think he said $1.00 difference. I did not care one way or the other I was just wonder if I had The case, but I was curious due to other guns all having 1st spent casing.

neither my 40 compact or Shield 45 had a shell casing in the box, I'm 100% confident they were both new
