Brass deposit form vertical lines on Dillon powder funnel

Now, do they work by not leaving the brass deposit lines?

Finally got around to running 100 cases through my SDM with the highly polished funnel. I ran the 100 cases with Dillon synthetic lube this time. I had used One Shot before. The machine operation was very smooth. No hint of sticking.

With just ambient room light, it still looks pretty much like a mirror but if I turn on the LED light, you can see there are definite vertical score lines. Just have to watch the funnel over time and see if brass starts depositing again. I am going to leave it alone for now (as long as the machine runs smooth) and just keep on eye on it.

There is bound to be abrasive grit embedded in the cases. Even in new ones.

Also, once I was reloading new Starline 44 mag brass. It stuck to the powder funnel like glue and was miserable to reload. Somebody suggested tumbling the brass and voila! Problem solved.
I tumble my brass with some NuFinish in the corn cob media. I have begun tumbling new brass and any brass that may have been wet tumbled to add the NuFinish lube to the brass. It solved this problem for me also.
