I picked up my Brazilain M1917 this afternoon and I have to say it is an exceptional shooter.
It shoots center for windage and about an inch high for elevatiion at 15 yards with both handloads I was using.
The previous owner filed a little off the front sight I assume to hit POA with the loads he was using.
As you can see it's been reparked and the Brazilian crest is very faint.
No pitting on he surface areas but there is pitting on the grip frame (that was parked over) not visible with the grips attached.
I bought this as a shooter and couldn't be more happy.
It came with rubber grips that I replaced with these non period magnas. I couldn't post pics of this old girl wearing rubber shoes.
I apologize for the quality of the Pics sooner or later I will get the hang of this phot thing.
I have shyed away from revolvers that shoot rimless ctgs my whole life. I didn't want to have to deal with the moon clips. I fired a couple of hundred rounds through this one without using the clips, brass just fell out of the chambers. The brass that didn't was easily picked out using my fingers. I was suprised.
I had always heard these do not shoot cast bullets wee due to shallow rifling but this on shoots 200 grain swc's quite well. this is a 2.5 inch group offhand at 15 yards.
