I emailed S&W quite some time ago asking if they would consider introducing a k-frame .38 or 357 with a heavy six inch barrel. To paraphrase the response: "keep looking at the website for new products." Ok, some other time then.
Ideally, I'd like a Model 14-6 or 14-7 with the full lug barrel and the round butt frame, but they're getting harder to find. A stainless version of that would be nice, or a heavy 6" barrel option on the newest Model 66 with the ball detent.
Anyone with a similar interest have a friend at the factory who can pass along the suggestion?

Great idea, but I just cant see it happening. Yes the new 66 with a 6" underlugged barrel would be great for everyone. I know a lot of competition shooters who took a 14-6 they shot in competition and had them hard chromed. one of the few changes you could do to a distinguished gun. Looked beautiful. Remove the sights . Then when they put the sights back on, wow, the contrast looked awesome and the guns were much easier to care for.
