I recently acquired an early .455 Triple Lock. I love it but it does have a couple drawbacks (which help put it in my price range). Markings indicate it was probably part of a January 1915 shipment to Britain. Certainly not in collector condition but remaining bluing shows how great it must have been over a hundred years ago. Grips are good and numbered to the revolver. Lockup is just awesome. Apart from the bulge in the barrel (ouch!) bore is very good. There are no caliber markings on the barrel. Somebody saw fit to add adjustable sights (ouch again!) but as received it does shoot to point of aim at 20 yds with a light .454/260gr load in .455 Colt brass.

This one is so far out of my ken I am tagging in to learn something.

Nice revolver. I would have grabbed it as a shooter.

Nice .455 Smith, one of my grail guns. Given that it's been altered so much I'm surprised that the caliber wasn't altered as well. Too bad it's got issues but I know what you mean about an otherwise collectible firearm with issues vs it's collectibility vs it's cost. Have a few of them myself. I buy with the plan of shooting the object of my hearts desire not locking it in my safe to only enjoy the owning of it.
