Broke slave pin

RSA Solved

Guide rod maybe? It's the white plastic thingamijig in the center of the spring in the photo except that mine is black.

It looks similar to this slave pin shown in this Apex kit. That's what confused me.

Isn't the Apex slave pin a lot smaller than the recoil spring assembly?

It looks like the recoil spring assembly in your pictures is not from your gun but a stainless aftermarket assembly.

Since we are now pretty sure you have a black plastic OEM RSA, exactly where did it break? Somewhere in the body or did an end come off?

Yep, thats broken. I always feel like I'm going to break mine....I should order a replacement just in case. I'm actually more worried about breaking the flat side where you lock it onto the barrel.

Good picture. Explains it all.

If you were an Orthopaedic surgeon you could "set" that sucker.

And yes, there is no way you could have used those pieces in your gun.

Just remember that when you put the new assembly in, it takes a second nudge to properly seat it.

One more thing . . . If you ever decide to get a metal guide rod (Not on my list of things to do) the spring would probably be appropriate.
