Broken coil pin???

I'm trying to install an Apex kit on my new M&P. Even though I went out the same direction as the YouTube video and used a roll pin punch, I still managed to flake some metal off the pin. Do I need to get a new one?

Yes. You can either call SW and wait for them to send you one, or do like I did and order some from McMaster-Carr. It's a pretty regular occurrence on the pin that goes into the lock block (at least for me, I shoot lots of rounds in competition and practice). Here's what I use in mine McMaster-Carr

I was going to suggest Brownells for .99 but it looks like they're out of stock.

Maybe you can get one locally at a good hardware store. Take the info off the link that Bkreutz shows.

Just don't get a 1/8" standard roll pin, it won't fit. I tried.

Thanks all. I got lucky... Went by the place I bought the M&P, he had one in his M&P armorer's kit.
