I have wanted one of these since I was a kid. I really like John Bowning's classic design. I traded for one today and was glad to get it. It came with its box and papers and is virtually new. It was built in Japan by Miroku. I would have preferred a Belgum model but I seldom see these rifles come available used at a decent price so I made the deal. I also have a BAR that was made in Belgium and assembled in Portugal. In both cases Browning has made sure that thay are producing a quality product; no matter where it was made or assembled.

They are really cool little rifles and a lot of fun to shoot. A friend of mine who worked in a gun store loved to say things to people that would get them all bent out of shape. He told a local game warden (who was a customer in the store) that it was his absolute favorite rifle for shooting rabbits because the empty cases ejected right down to the floor of his pickup or car when he shot them from inside the vehicle and didn't leave any evidence behind. The GW exploded with "THAT IS ILLEGAL !!!!!!!" and my friend could hardly control himself because he was laughing so hard.

You have a fine rifle.

Miroku makes some of the finest quality firearms in existence.

I still own a Charles Daly, manufactured by them about 40 years ago, 20 gauge over/under. I'd put it up against anything in fit, and finish.

That's why I bought mine :D

I'm not sure who made my Browning BLR 7mm rem mag, but it's Japanese and the overall quality is tops. No second rate 22 you have there, I would say.

I own two of the Browning .22 auto's, one scoped, one factory open sights, both made in Japan. They are my favorite 22 rifles. I could never afford a Belgium manufactured one when I was a kid but I really don't see any difference in the fit, finish or accuracy of the Miroku vs. the Belgium model.I'm a happy camper just burning up a brick of Winchester Super-X with them.

I've always thought that they were pretty and light. I just objected to the hot brass down my sleeve.

I've always wanted one of these little rifles also. I'm still kicking myself for letting one get away from me at the last gun show - it was new, in a fitted leather case with the scope mount. Alas, I was (as usual) cash poor, and afraid to face the wrath of the wifey.

Best regards,

Dave
