buck 110 knife

About 2 months ago I bought a very tired Buck 110 folder from a pawn shop for a very small amount of money.

The original owner used what looked like a nail to inscribe his initials on it.

I called Buck asking of they could tidy that up under their Spa treatment for $6.95......they said send it in and let us have a look.

Two days a go I got a package from Buck Knves......they did NOT do anything with the old knife, instead they sent me a BRAND NEW 110!!!

Wowser!!!

What a company and what a product for the money involved.

They have my 501 and should be sending it back soon. I have had it for over 50 years and there wasn't much blade left to sharpen. For $10.00 I am getting a new blade and the spa treatment. I sent it in for the treatment some years ago, so this is the second time it has been back home.''

The Buck 55 . It's styled after the 110 and is about half the size and about the same price.

Received a Buck 112 almost 40 years ago from a close family member, now gone. Broke the blade in two places over the years by abusing it. Sent it back to Buck last summer for a new blade.$10. I've read many comments about Buck, both good and bad. For me... I'm proud to support an American company, American workmanship and American workers.

Nearly 40 years of use, and it's still as good as new.

The Buck 110 is just about my favorite folding knife ever made.

A classic design which lives on to this very day in multiple configurations.

I plan on getting the latest iteration soon, the Buck 110 Hunter Sport.

Buck Knives is a great company that still makes most of their products here in the USA. A great quality product at a reasonable price.

Someone will be along shortly to argue semantics about how technically they're not "Made in the USA" but merely "Assembled in the USA" because the materials they use such as their African woods and German steels are imported.
Also, some of their bargain-priced blades are made in China.

Of course, everything on their site is clearly marked as being "Made in the USA" or "Imported" so this isn't a secret, but certain folks like to imply that they're being sneaky about it.

I've had this Buck .112. For 47 year when I first got in the electrical trade .this tool is the best tool I have ever bought.
The o'l two dot has made me a lot of money and skun a lot of game.
The Buck family has a lot of faith in there products and it shows.

I've had my 110 since I was 18, makes it 50 years old. It's whittled enough tinder for backpacking campfires to build a house. Somewhere along the way, I lost the belt pouch for it, but found a nice one to replace it at a leather shop in Denver when I was there for business about 15 years ago. The smaller one is a 373, and yes the steel is from China, it's stamped on the backside of the flat-edge blade. That's okay, it holds a razor edge.

These are the Buck 110 variants I own in order of when they were made

Buck 110 was made in 1995. I bought it in the Ft. Carson PX and carried it on my LBE until 2003 when I got out, then it went into my Roll Away then it went to my Duty Belt until I became a Retired Career Security Guard.

Bucklite Model 422. Made in 1997. It's a replacement for a 422 I carried in the National Guard. I bought it on Ebay last year for 40 bucks and it's my daily carry more often than not.

The last two were both made in 2020.

Buck 110 LT. I bought it to celebrate my last assignment.

Buck 110 Slim Select I bought it because I always wanted a Buck with a pocket clip that I could open one handed.

A 503 that I've had since Christmas 1980 present from my then fiancé still my wife. Shown with my everyday watch she bought me the same Christmas still runs like a champ with a new battery once a year.

Curious they would send you a new one. Did someone at the factory get attached to the old one ? What if it had sentimental value?
Had mine for I forget how long, even forget where and when I got it. But it is an old friend.

Years ago, during my Army career, I was given a Buck 110 as the honor graduate from a senior NCO course. It has my regiment's crest inlaid into the left side scale. I've still got it somewhere around here.
