It appears the rut is on down here but I can't get out right now. Friends are doing great! All I've got to show is a doe from a couple of weeks ago.
Mike our gun season does not start until Nov 14.

Sitting in a tree right now ..... been seeing lots of does and small bucks for the last week. Will fill a few doe tags soon.

One of my favorite things in the world is sitting in a deer stand on a beautiful November morning. I rarely even load my gun any more. My son finally got old enough to figure it out last year.

Opening Day for rifle is this Saturday (7th).
Left The Island yesterday for the East Texas Piney Woods.
Based on near all the game cams we should have a good season.
Big cook-out in deer camp Friday night.
We have 7 sections of "paper company" land that
has been with this family prior to WWII.

I didn't bow hunt this year. Our Tennessee muzzleloading season opens this weekend thru the 20th & rifle starts November 21st thru January 3rd ..... I'll be out hunting off and on from this weekend until the end of the season in January.

nice deer... November 14 start for rifle... I took a button buck during our early river antlerless season 20 minutes before the end... wish I could have taken the 8 pointer 30 minutes earlier

Nice Deer ! I was out last Friday and Sat - saw a lot of does, 0 bucks. Will be out Friday and Sat maybe Sunday as well. Getting a warm spell which is not great but I am hearing the rut is picking up. Did not see any rutting action last weekend. Hope to put one on the ground soon.

The really nice ones always seem to be exactly where I am not...
Few does, good size about three hundred yards out. Very little movement in the sector, although rut is going. One other hunter on a neighbors farm.
