Bud's Guns increases again

buds is getting to be like whores the last few weeks, i will not do buisness with them again. all the gun stores near me have guns and they are not raising prices. i will not patronize any present price gougers, who lower the prices 4 months from now, and people should do the same thing

Funny how when this happens with the price of gas, State Attorney Generals insvestigate price gouging. But when it is guns, everyone looks the other way. For myself I have enough ammo, reloading supplies and weapons, so I won't be buying any jacked up items, and will wait and either buy when it comes down, or buy from people who over paid and get in a money pinch later. Just my thoughts

Yesterday I went to my local Chevrolet dealer to buy a new Corvette. I brought cash. Imagine my surprise when the salesman wouldn't take my $3500. That's what they cost in 1953. I'm never going back to that place again. Should I contact the Attorney General's office or the BBB?

Hilarious

Except Bud's went from "1953" to "2013" overnight, and you can still buy the same "Corvette" elsewhere for normal price. At least you'll have the most expensive "Corvette" on your block.

Mixed emotions here and I am tuning it out until the panic subsides,
Worst case scenario is if they ban private sales all together and make it like class III sales where govt registration ,regulation and taxation is mandated in every firearm sale,

Private party (Non FFL) buying guns to "flip" is illegal but it has always been your right to sell your legally purchased firearm to a friend or neighbor (as long as they are not crminals) the same as you would a lawnmower
If that changes its the beginning of the end of our free right to keep and bear arms without Govt interference IMO.

The "price gouging" laws generally only apply to necessities and guns aren't considered as such, in spite of what most of us think:cool: Typical items are food, water, lumber, fuel etc.
Price gouging laws are usually only in force during "declared emergencies" also.

Taking advantage of the hysteria. Can't say I blame them but glad I bought my evil, black gun prior to the shootings and madness.

They are also showing "Out of stock" on certain AR's and AK's, but their front page shows auction after auction of the OOS items that are going through the roof. I have no problem with auctions going sky high. It is what the bidders are willing to pay. I do have a problem when you list something as OOS, but day after day, have them listed in an auction so they can rake in 3 times their worth. I call that lying.

Can I get an Amen?

We need to remember....

And what would you have done with them? Would you have kept 25 rifles for your personal use? Would you have sold them for the $489 each that you paid for them? Or would you have sold them for a profit? How much profit?

When I picked mine up there were 10 on the table. I wanted 3 more for family members, 2 to sell. I'm not money hungry, but it would have been nice to make a small profit(would have asked $550, fair price I think) to help me with the next purchase I'm looking at. Every other LGS in the area was asking $599+ and I'm aware of the demand. I have never been one to screw people over. And let's not forget that MSRP stands for Manufacturer SUGGESTED Retail Price.
