So, who knows what this is? I know what it is in generic terms, but I'm having a real problem naling down the exact species. Maybe it got here on the cloud of Saharan dust.

That was my first guess, but while in the same animal order, it is something else.

I have sent the original fullsize pictures to some experts in Florida to see if they can identifying the precise species.

That might be a giant stonefly.
