Bul Armory is an Israeli company. Their guns are imported throughout Europe and into the US. They are solid representatives of the 1911 family.
I have 2, a classic single stack and a SAS II Limited gun that I shoot in USPSA competition. The single stack has the nicest factory trigger I've ever seen on a 1911. Both these are in .40 S&W. I had to have the feed ramp re-cut on the single stack to enhance feeding but this is not uncommon in .40s. The SAS II takes Para style mags although it can be modified to take the more widely used STI style of double stack mags.
Good firearms at decent prices.

Probably 25 years ago I saw an ad for a BUL M5 in a gun rag. My local gun GS owner scratched his head but ordered me one. I paid $600.00 for it once the boat from Israel got here. Polymer double stack .45 with 2-10rd mags since ban was on. GS guy scratched his head yet again since I was buying new 1911 COLTs from him for same price. My BUL was a 4" Commander style that obviously had a lot of Chip McCormick custom parts like bushingless bull barrel, LW trigger, upswept grip safety, elongated commander hammer and titanium firing pin. 6 months later Kimber came out their version which was exactly like mine but in 5" and $200.00 more. Oh yeah and it had a KIMBER rollmark on the slide so that justifies the price.
Current BUL 9mm's look like they're using the CZ approach with the slide riding within the frame. I can't get a good grip on that type of slide to chamber a round.
