Bullet Mold Handle Compatibility

I have a set of Lyman mold handles that are for their one and two cavity molds. Will they fit the RCBS or SAECO molds as well? Do any of them interchange? All I have been using are Lee so I really can't compare.

David,

It sounds like you have a set of the newer Lyman handles. The older single cavity handles were called "small" and they didn't fit the 2 cavity moulds.

I don't know that I've tried any Lyman 2 cavity handles on other brands, but I do use Lee 6 cavity handles (slightly modified by sanding) on Lyman, RCBS and Ohaus moulds, in addition to Lee 6 cavity moulds.

They will fit the RCBS, but not the Seaco's.

I'm running Lyman moulds on RCBS handles, single and double cavity moulds.

I know for a fact that Lee 6 cav handles will fit a RCBS 2 cav...with about a half an hours work with a bastard file.

I normally use a 4" grinder with a "flap" type sanding disk. It'll fit in less than 5 minutes.
