Decided to try this out, ended up with 4 of them. Put one on a 9mm Baer PII.

Had them out to the range Thursday. Very nice with the older eyes.

I'e been looking at those online . What brand of mount did you use on the N frame ? How's the dot look ? Nice and sharp or like a fuzzy ball ?

EGW mounts on all three. Get the Burris with the Picatinny Mount. Dot is a bit fuzzy in bright light, pretty sharp in overcast. Self adjusting brightness.

I chose the same for my S&W 500, with a weigand mount.
It handles the recoil and is great for deer hunting.

I saw on Midway's web site that Burris is coming out soon with a Fastfire 3 .

I'm looking for a mount to use on my 629 with a Burris. Where do you get the pic mount for the gun? Are they predilled to match up with the 629

I think this is the cleanest looking mount for a Fastfire or other type of relfex sight:

It's an Alchin STS and will bolt right on to any factory drilled-n-tapped Smith.
