I need to know what to look out for when potentially buying a used M&P9c.
The pistol appears cosmetically to be fine, and for the asking price, it includes 3 magazines and night sights. It is quite a bargain.
The only thing I can get on its age is that it was purchased "last year." Are there improvements made in pistols produced since then that I should consider in my purchase?

Thanks,
Chris

The only thing that I would think to check for is the sliver striker. Just lock the slide back and check.

If you could tell us the first three letters of the serial number we could tell you approximately when it was made. And yes, there have been changes.

Per the seller, the first three letters are MRB.

I'm on a tight timeline here, so let me know what I need to look out for! Thanks.

S&W will handle any breakages so I'm not concerned about my Dxx pistol I purchased last year.

"Quite a bargain"? These retail for about $510 with tritium night sights.

Chuck, that's great. They go out the door for $570-$590 here without night sights.

Thanks for the info, Gary. I'm going to pass on the offer based on the uncertainty I have right now. I am going to hit up the funshow in Roanoke, Va. tomorrow and see what kind of deals I can scrounge up.

What's your good deal again? If "new out the door" includes sales tax (7%?) they're still over-priced by nearly $100.

My serial number is for the full sized model, apparently a different sequence. Regardless, black or silver striker really makes no difference as S&W will handle all issues promptly.
