I Found a seller on line selling older manuals. I bid on one but asked them if it was original or a reproduction. They told me they didn't know because it is too hard to tell. Their entire 22 page account is nothing but manuals of all brands. I said if it is a reproduction I am not interested.

I tried to contact them again with a follow up question but they blocked me from any contact.

So your entire website is nothing but dozens and dozens of nothing but old school manuals, and they can't tell me if they are reproductions?

So does anyone know where to buy original Smith & Wesson old school revolver manuals that came with the gun?

I usually see them at gun shows in the boxes with old holsters and scope rings, or in a glass case with old jackknives and arrowheads with a sign that says make offer...If I see one I might need, I'll get it......Ben

you wont find 'repro guys' in general on this forum
to my knowledge those guys are usually on e bay...
put a WTB as in the wanted section.

Thank You! I just looked at their thousands of reviews. They all say A+ "Thank you for the excellent reproduction manual. Best I have ever seen"

Well if they told me this from the get go no issues. Any way did find a seller on gunbroker selling a few factory original fold out manuals at a great price.

Still looking for model 29 and 57

eBay has some from time to time. The easiest way to tell is by looking at the age and color of the paper, the fold lines, creases, physical size, possible stains. I guess after a while in this hobby one can just tell.
