Buying/shipping Ammo for others

Then how do people sell ammo on gunbroker? I've got guns and ammo both delivered by USPS
I have gotten ammo USPS as well, but it's prohibited by their rules (the post office, not Gunbroker) Unless you have an FFL the guns are prohibited by a bunch of different laws to be sent to an individual.

I understand guns have to be delivered to an FFL so the paperwork can be done, but I've got ammo out of my mailbox sent by someone with no FFL

The contents of the package must not have been disclosed to the postal service or they would have refused to ship it. I don't think it is worth the gamble to try and send ammo through the post office when ups and FedEx will without any headaches.

I'm glad you asked this question OP. I'm addicted to buying ammo and I need to unload some. Didn't know how legal (or illegal) it would be to sell a box here or there.

I actually talked to a rep from the haz-mat dept at UPS and she said they ship small arms ammuntion all the time. Basically nothing bigger than 50 cal, packages weighing more than 60lbs must be shipped in seperate packages, and must be clearly marked orm-d in a triangle. It can be handwritten if desired. And she said if you go to a hub and they say they won't ship it...don't leave! Call their haz-mat dept and they will talk to the employee helping you.

Hope this helps everybody.

I live in KC if you dont mind shipping me a couple boxes. Lol
