CA mp15-22

hi i want to buy a mp15-22 in california and i believe it comes with a 10 round clip. i was wondering if i order a 25 round clip online that it would fit and work the same. i shoot at a private range so im not worried about it being illegal.

It should fit in the magwell exactly the same as the 10 round mag. Only problem might be getting a dealer to ship a 25 rd mag to Comifornia.

private range or not, it's still illegal.

if you still want one, i'd look for one on gunbroker.com or ebay. a private seller probably won't care where you live, a dealer should.

It is not illegal to own a high capacity magazine in California, but it is illegal to have someone transfer one to you. The loop hole, to make legal, is if the magazine is taken apart as a rebuild kit that is to be stored in such manner, but can be assembled and used out of state.

You will notice at 44mag.com's web site they will send you a kit vice an assembled magazine. They charge an extra $1.99 for the kit version.
