Pretty nasty front. The one in New Orleans actually hit Arabi down on "da parish" St. Bernard Parish to those of you who know. Actually damaged pretty badly a couple of buildings my brother in law had sold a couple of months ago. He was still storing some stuff in them and spent the aftermath salvaging the stuff while the purchaser was calling his insurance company.

Arabi? Is that Jewish priest?
Hope he's ok

I was actually in Texas, in the middle of tornado watch/warning areas during that period. We pulled our travel trailer to the Springtown/Azle/Weatherford area, and were 30 miles away from the Jacksboro tornado. My buddy, on whose land we were staying, told me that we could come in to his house if things got dicey. I spent the evening watching the weather radar.

We drove through Jacksboro on the way home, and the damage was significant. Most of the roof of the elementary school was tangled up in the remains of trees on the other side of the highway

I received the email below from the ATF today, I assume because of my C&R license. I've had a C&R for over 10 years and never received one like this before and we have tornados come through here often.

This is an important message from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Your area has experienced or may experience, a significant natural disaster due to tornados. ATF recommends that all licensees in areas of possible storm impact, secure their firearms inventory and records from potential storm damage. If your business premises, inventory, or records have been affected, or in the event of theft, or attempted theft, please contact ATF at 888-367-5762. Thank you.

We see them a lot, especially this time of year. Wednesday night (3/30/22) we had one pass withing five miles of my house. I actually watched it go by. It hit a main power line and my power was out for about eight hours. It hit several house, taking the roof off of one, a chicken house, several trailers, and lots of big trees. Nearby Highway 13 was blocked for almost a mile by fallen trees. The Highway Department, assisted by local citizens with chainsaws and machinery had it cleared by daylight. It looks like like we might have another round of them this Tuesday.
