Do you post anything but links? Useful or relevant commentary?

I just finished reading this developing story on another news site. Few details right now. Sounding like today will probably go down in history as the very worst day ever for the Oakland PD. Prayers sent.

do you see any

I think the point is if you would post the first few sentences of the news article or some summary, or clue as to the content of your link it would be appreciated. Not just your link. Or perhaps a few of your own thoughts to go with it, we can all read or watch the news.

FYI, it's now being reported that the four Police Officers have died. RIP

Please tell me-
why do you go back through the threads you start, and DELETE the initial post?

This habit leaves the board cluttered with meaningless threads, since any response has nothing to reference it to.
A very curious habit.
I just spent several minutes deleting a dozen or so threads.

Posting a link alone gives no one a reason to respond to you. We do not know if you agree or disagree with the way an article is presented. It is in a word, confusing. What is your point? Do you have an opinion on the links you post?

I tend to respond to people, not links alone. Maybe others feel that way also, which would explain the lack of responses to your "link only" posts.

Is this your idea of conversation?

Prayers up for the fallen officers and their families.

Sorry to hear about the officers. Amazing that the second contact resulted in two more down. Tragic beyond words.

I think you are shooting yourself in the foot. They appear to be getting a fair amount of views. As others have pointed out, a bit of dialogue would help.
I also noticed you delete your pics in other's threads a few days after posting. People look at threads for many days sometimes, esp pic threads. Why do that?
Please refrain from deleting the first post of threads you start. It leaves the board cluttered with dead threads- kind of like tossing your trash in the floor at a party. As I said, I just spent several minutes deleting dead threads like that.
