Especially with one of her big anti-gun supporters in the State Senate just arrested on corruption charges by the FBI (Leland Yee)... It can't be a good month for her.

The Appellant's Opposition to the AG has been posted on the Ninth Circuit website this morning.

In short, while they assert that the AG's standing to pursue the case is questionable, they say "Bring it on!"

They do a good job on showing the laughable lack of standing by the Brady Bunch to even try to be involved. They also dismiss the CA Police Chiefs' Association attempt at intervention as improperly crafted.

At a quick perusal (I'll study it tonight after work & over the weekend) it seems that the Appellants (Peruta and the CCW supporters) are in favor of taking this case to the Supremes. I think their arguments in the original, winning lawsuit are well crafted and worthy of a positive ruling in favor of Shall Issue for CA by the U.S. Supreme Court. It would be a welcome and overdue change!
