Calling All Pre War I Frames w/ Target Sights

Hi
Here are 4 32 targets from my collection. I have two more that are not in the picture.
One is a 4 1/4 Nickel shipped in 1918, the other one is one of the 196 made after the War
from pre-war parts.

1903 (no change) 32 S&W long target. Grips are damaged, but they are all I have, for now...

And last but not least, is this 1903 1st change 32 target which was engraved by Oscar Young. The revolver came with a period factory oak presentation case as well.

Beautiful revolvers, everyone. I am a little late to the party because I first thought it was overkill to post yet again photos I have separately published in other threads over the last few years. But I finally decided there might be merit in lumping them all together in one place since we had a theme thread going.

First, some .32s starting with 7467, an uncommon nickel 1903.

This is 16005, another 1903. Wrong stocks, though.

A Regulation Police target 276254.

And another one, 379160.

And yet another one, 504907.

There is also this postwar four-inch RP target 657356, one of the 196 made up largely from prewar parts. The older components justify its presence here, I think.

My single .22/32 HFT is a late one, shipped 1940.

And then without differentiation there are several prewar Kit Guns, serial numbers in the 529488-534576 range. (But one of these -- second row, number four -- is a 1920s era HFT that was factory-converted to the four-inch KG configuration in 1946).

There are two more KGs that I think I never photographed. I should dig those out and take a new group portrait with better illumination.

Yeah, I know this is evidence of an out-of-control I-frame target jones. At this age I bet it is too late for an intervention.

I just have to say, that whole picture is completely drool inspiring..but I am absolutely in love with the King sighted kit gun.

What a collection.

Anyone that hasn't done so, kindly send me the information on your 22/32's and your prewar 22/32 kit guns. The database is growing and getting fairly comprehensive. Just need more meat to fill out the bones.

S&W 22/32 HFT

HELP---Just returned from local gun show with a decent 70% 22/32 HE target. It is missing the hand ejector "spring" and the rear sight target "blade" ( tiny screws intact ). Any help or advisement would be deeply appreciated!--Regards--James Parker in Wichita Ks. S/N--361163

Nice catch!

The large Extractor spring is #940075790as here: Extractor Spring : EXTRACTOR SPRING | Brownells

Do you have the small ctr pin spring? 940070630as Center Pin Spring : CENTER PIN SPRING | Brownells

Do you have the extractor spring collar that looks like a tiny top hat less than a 1/4" square? (can be stuck in the yoke if you don't see it).

Good sources you probably already use are E-bay and Gunbroker. Set up a search for "smith wesson parts". Some listings are kits of used parts that are usually from guns destroyed by law enforcement with some to all of the parts except the frame included in the kits. You can generally win the entire parts kit for the price of the part that you want if you had bought it new.

Post an adv on this forum under the classified section.
