Went into a local sporting goods store (looking for ammo). I didnt even know this place sold safes. Anyways, Ive been looking at safes for about 6 mos. Im walking the isle and turn the corner to see this Heritage safe. Ive never had the chance to look at one up close until now. This safe looks really nice, really thick door, plush velour carpet, gloss paint, I mean the works. I see the price tag and was a little put off. I had not been researching these so I wasnt familiar with the pricing. I told the guy I was going to do some digging and would get back with him. I get home and start looking these up online. Cant really find any pricing on them. Turns out the dealers can set their own pricing, Not to mention the dealers have a 100 mile sale radius (no other dealer can be within 100 miles). Im turning up zero results on this thing until I find a dealer across the state. I call them and explain to the nice lady that Im 8 hrs away from her and what I had found. She then went on to tell me that the cost of the safe is double what the guy is asking for it. Anybody here have a Heritage? Thoughts on them?

I have a Liberty safe. From what I can tell it looks like a nice safe. Do you know what it weighs? My liberty looks to be about the same size as that one and it weighs 700+ pounds. I have looked at other safes and the good ones are in a similar weight class. The inexpensive ones are usually around 400 pounds. If you buy it, wipe the electronic lock off after you use it each time so your fingerprints don't reveal the combo.

I have the big brother to that safe and it was three grand when I bought it a few years back. Great safes but mine is heavy like 2000 pounds heavy.

Solid steel door- nice!

I think that is a steal for one of those.

Prices of steel keep going up. That is a nice safe.
Cheaper models are in vogue at the moment, and is likely the reason that such a nice one is on sale.

I would tell you about my safe but I lost it in a tragic boating accident.

I have a Heritage safe. Mine is the largest one they had at the time but without the glossy finish. bought it at Southern States Farm Supply. That one appears to have the same lock as mine, too. Had a bit of off/on trouble with the lock but they replaced it at no charge even after the warranty expired! Their customer service person is a lady who knows her stuff. I think you'd be happy with it and mine, several years ago, was almost $2K.

He has it marked down because he no longer carries the Heritages, He has moved to being a browning exclusive dealer. One of the sales reps at heritage told me this safe sells for about 2600. Im good with paying half haha... The weight is listed at over 700 lbs, 720 maybe...

Ive actually watched that video a few times. Once of the safes that was damaged in the back of his showroom was a heritage.. Looked like it held up pretty good too.

I have a Heritage about the same size but with the dull paint and the manual dial lock. Seems like I paid about twice that amount. By the way a great safe, made in the USA.

Instead of wiping I just touch all the buttons this indicates the same wear on all, doesn't take any longer then wiping. If you look after a while hitting the same buttons all the time shows wear only on those, with or without wiping, touching all will show same wear. Besides you don't need to worry about keeping a rag close by. Not sure if it can hold several combinations, but changing between different combinations also works.

That lock appears to be the basic S&G 6120. Yes it can accept multiple user codes as does most of the S&G's. Most of their problems are due to old batteries with not enough juice to retract the bolt.

Here is one that looks like that one that I installed on a customers safe this morning. This one was an upgrade from the 6120.

I would have preferred the manual dial. I have heard that I can get a locksmith to switch it out though...

On my safe there are ten numbers 1 through nine and a 0.

How many combinations are there using these ten numbers?

How many combinations are there using Five Numbers?

You didnt get enough info, lol.

How many numbers long does ur combination have to be?

My safe also has 0-9 (10 numbers). But the kicker is, mine requires pushing other buttons also. So once again, the math changes........Its long story =-)

Here is an easy way to answer it for most of you. 10 numbers is what u have. Lets say u have 7 digits in ur combination (7 numbers total). This is considering u have no limitations within ur lock itself. Which means u can repeat numbers side by side like (777) and this also means that u can use 0 as a starting number (some locks dont allow this). If all of this is the case, then the answer would be below.

10x10x10x10x10x10x10 = 10,000,000

If you get it have the lock changed out. I had problems with mine. I will not get a safe with a push button lock again. I had to have a dealer open it, took 2 weeks to get there. Good safe but lousy lock.

I have already sent in an email to the company. New lock will cost me about 160 bucks, plus the locksmith installing it... Even after all that Im still in it for a little over half of what the safe normally sells for.
