Some one earlier posted whether a b&b gun could kill a bird or not. Well, I shot at a jack rabbit terrorizing my wife's garden and I will be darned if I didn't actually hit it (20 yards) and it flipped over DOA! What a shock for the little lady as she was sure I wouldn't hit it....
What a shock. Lots of shouting and accusations. Did it. I am also shocked. I am proud of the shot.....

...friend and I back in elementary school would pump his bb gun up taking turns on the lever...would do about 250 pumps...bb came out at about Mach 3...woulda stopped a Sherman tank...

BB Gun

You guys must shoot lead BBs through a rifled barrel:p My old BB gun I owned as a kid had a "slice" like a bad golf shot. Any creature over 10 feet away was perfectly safe:D

Mice, chipmunks, birds, etc.....

Many a critter fell to my Crosman 760 Pumpmaster when I was a kid.

Those pump-up pellet rifles are not what immediately pops to my mind when I hear "bb gun".

That thing? Heck yeah. Deadly as all get-out.

One of these? Probably not.

I pop squirrels in the butt when they venture too close to our bird feeders. Over the years I've inadvertently sent a few to their maker. Regardless, they don't seem to learn.

I will also plink at crows when the get out of line like they often do with the song birds.

Shot with bb. I don't know where I hit it because the Mrs. was going nuts when it fell over. She was sure I wouldn't hit it at that distance (neither was I) and was stunned when it dropped. It was a neighborhood favorite even though it ate every plant so I can't brag about it to the neighbor ladies.... Some desert creature ate it last night, leaving only the tail. Well at least it got recycled.

couldn't help laughing at that....picturing the scene in my mind with my somewhat skewed sense of humor (so I'm told)

I did something similar awhile back, pleading the 5th on the details, but it got me slapped up side of my head by my lovely bride...

Good kill. I wonder if the rabbit had a heart attack from shock or some such.

If you get another one, try frying it up. Rabbit is tasty.

Yes, birds will fall when hit by a well-aimed BB. When I was a kid, sparrows inhabited our barn and had a propensity to ... uh ... "paint the combine white". Dad objected to such behavior and heartily approved when they fell to my AA fire.

I never shot a barn swallow or barn owl. I thought "Hey, if your first name is "Barn", you have a right to be here!" :D

The pigeons no longer try roosting in my backyard palm. I've taken down several with single-stroke pneumatic air pistol, and a a couple with spring rifles.
