I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July

Can anyone help me find the approx year S&W Model 10-8 was made?

It's a blued, heavy 4 inch barrel, not pinned, fixed sights on top of frame. Model 10-8 serial number AUH4649 (taken from the bottom of the grip).

Welcome! My impression is it is from 1982.

Do you have the original box with the end label? If so we can tell your its age fairly easily.

SCSW4 lists AUH prefix guns as 1986.
