I came across this pic of a pump shotgun that I'm not familiar with.....I like the semi-hump look, which is similar to a few older semi-autos (Franchi, Beretta 390's, Browning B-80's and some of the older Browning Gold Hunter's).

Can anyone identify this one? Don

A Chinese Remington 870 clone. Specifically the Norinco Hawk series sold under the H&R Parnder Pump brand. A regular Norinco Hawk 981 is just a regular 870 pattern receiver. For H&R, they slightly changed the shape of the rear of the receiver with the hump.

The funny thing is, those guns were being imported from China by H&R when H&R were owned by Remington.

Yup, Remington was importing a Chinese 870 clone and selling it as direct competition to their own 870. And the worst part of it all. The quality of the Chinese made guns were better than the Remington made 870 Express models of the time.

I cannot think of a better example of the lunacy at Remington before the bankruptcy than that.
