can S&W refinish my dad's 642 (prosperity)

my dad recently passed and I foolishly used his 642 for ccw and ended up scuffing off some clearcoat from the grip frame (I got a 442 and stashed his 642); I want to keep his firearm for prosperity; can S&W refinish dad's 642? if so...how much $$$; thanks

Being stainless and if no laser etchings, you can do the job yourself using mothers and scotch brite pads. See the faq sticky above.

S&W can restore the finish for around 230.00 incl shipping.
Their prices are on their website. It will take them a couple months.
