Can Smith & Wesson compete with the SIG P365?

I have P365 and I really like it. I do still carry my P938 and P290RS from time to time, but most of the time I’m carrying the 365.

Splitting hairs between a Hellcat and a 365 and a Shield is a good reminder of just how far the EDC compact has advanced in the past decade. And a decade from now the fore mentioned weapons will likely be considered old school...lol

The shield was excellent when it came out. I had one, sold it, and got another (2.0) when the price became too low to say no. I replaced my shields with the Glock 43, which I preferred, and then the Glock 43 with a P365XL, which I currently use and quite like.

No, the Shield does not compete well with the 365/365XL, but it's still a fairly concealable handgun with 7 or 8 rounds on tap, and most of us are able to justify carrying a 5 shot J frame, so if its what you got I'd not be too worried.

I'd certainly not pay current market prices for it, but once they're back down to the $260 range they'll continue to sell pretty well.
