I feel that this forum is so worried about law suits we are all stiff upper lip? ( I should know I have been banned twice for God reference and the other petty stuff it doesn't bear mentioning) yes we are a gun forum but this was what. AMERICA WAS FOUND ON, GOD GUTS AND GLORY Why cant we keep all three?? If this is not popular with thread administration they are like the govt we have!!!!!!get some therapy or learn to live with it. Plan "B" Maybe better forum down the road.

There are already plenty of forums on the internet where you can express your beliefs. Most of them are mine fields because many can not agree to disagree and leave it at that without letting it slop over into personal assaults. That always slops over into areas other than the minefield areas.

I like it that the main focus here is S&W guns, gun rights, gun questions and a little friendly chatter, pretty much in that order. I have been censored a couple times for comments and so be it as I stepped over the line, not the gorilla. Its may be where I hang out on line quite a bit, but, it isn't my house. I am a guest here and as a guest it is my responsibility to behave according to the hosts preferences. I don't think its about lawsuits, but a civil atmosphere. I don't need to express my beliefs about a higher power or the running of the government everywhere I go to be happy and comfortable. I know who I am and what I believe and those that mater to me all know them.

There are already enough disagreements about calibers, modifications, carry methods, etc to keep me entertained.

The topic of this board is S&W.
I don't really care what you think about the other stuff, and certainly have no desire to see you in the heels and duster.

The animosities generated in that forum would inevitably spill over into the other topical forums.
If you're not getting the implied answer, it's

I come here BECAUSE its civil. It wouldn't be that way for long if we were negotiating mine fields.
There's enough of that in " The world" to negotiate.
Start your own site with whatever you want if you're looking for arguments. If this site becomes like 99% of the others, I'll be moving on.
As stated, this is like someone's home. You don't enter someone's home and request that they change the way they are to make you happy.
If you're not happy there, you leave.
At least that's what I would do.

Sadly I am drawn like a moth to a flame by those "other" forums and usually feel like taking a shower after a dust-up. What this forum lacks is one of the main reasons I like it so much- besides it being a gold mine of knowledge and wisdom of course. A refreshingly CIVIL island in the pigsty that is internet gun forums. Please keep it that way.

So let me get this right, a member comes onto a PRIVATE forum, insults the owner & the mods that help here, and expects them to change their stated policy... or else he will leave? Really? Don't let the door hit you in the arse on your way out.

Afraid of lawsuits? Who has ever been sued -- much less successfully -- over a hot topic disagreement online? Ridiculous claim. Wanting to maintain a civil, open, tolerant community is more like it -- which is much more in line with what the Founders intended for this country (since you invoked our founding) than certain chest-thumping notions of it.

You negatively liken the administration of the forum to Federal government? That's the cry of someone not getting their way, and who understands neither the functions of government nor privileges of private ownership.
