Thoughts and prayers to all in Fort McMurray and the surrounding area from a former resident.
 
That's some nasty fire! If I heard correctly they were going to evacuate 3 more towns?
Hope everyone gets out safely!

The last I heard 1800 homes had been destroyed and many more were threatened.

Prayers outbound not only for the families displaced or left homeless, but also for the firefighters. That's a terribly dangerous kind of fire.
 
Fire is still burning out of control, a lot more has been lost!
 
I went there a number of times in the late '80s, always in the dead of winter. I flew high-tech people to the sand oil fields. Quite a place. I feel for those people. Firestorms destroy everything, and back then, anyway, there were only a couple roads in/out.

Many people lost everything they owned, in excess of 80,000 people evacuated and you wish another calamity upon them! You are indeed a repugnant person.
