Im looking for a multi pistol gun safe but cant seem to find anything other than safes for rifes with maybe 1 shelf or so or single pistol safes. I currently have 6 plus ammo, holsters, etc. Id like to find a simple 4-5 shelf safe that i could put everything in. I dont need anything fancy just something simple to keep it all locked in maybe around $300-400 bucks. Any help would be great!!

I've been looking for the same thing and have yet to find a good one. Each one I see says "good basic safe but a determined thief can open one with a crow bar". I need something that's not too expensive and still be secure.

You can check out Stack-On lock boxes. No fire protection but they can be bolted to house studs and are modualar.

Rogue Safe Co. makes a refrigerator style unit. One day I'll own one of these things...

What capacity are you looking for and what outside size? There's a ton of discussion on gun safes up on the net. I think you will have a hard time finding something that really offers much protection in that price range. It would be pretty simple to construct a simple shelf unit to fit inside a safe body that didn't have enough handgun storage. Many safes can have a number of handguns hung on the inside of the door. I always considered 700-800 pounds the minimum weight of a decent safe and my late brother thought 1500 pounds was a good starting number. Unfortunately, these units put you up in the $1000 to $5000 price range. These days $300 is going to get something in a 1960's high school locker type unit. Good luck in your search.

Some safes come with customizable interior shelving, Amsec for one. If you don't need the rifle rack the shelves cover it and then you add the other shelves along the mounting racks at the desired heights for pistol racks or whatever. They are not in that price range but others that are may have duplicated that scenario.

this is the closest i've been able to find. like i said before, i do not want something thats fire resistant, weighs 84050lbs, or looks like ft knox safes. just simple simple, that has shelves, and that i can lock it all up in.

I looked at the description on that unit and typed in my s/w Illinois zip. The shipping and safe brought it to $619.19 and it weighs 220 lbs. There were no specs on metal thickness that I could find. The shipping on safes can be a killer. Our local farm stores often have full size safes on sale for about $850. They are these 700-800 pound units I mentioned in an earlier response. They can be a project to move in but the good news is they are hard for someone else to move out. The discussion is eternal that a $3000 safe is no guarantee that someone who knows what they are doing can't get in it and certainly the same can be said for a $1000 one. I'm still at the $1000 level and have friends that scoff at that and insist $5000 is minimum. Certainly everyone has to make their own decision on what they want and how much they are willing to spend.

Not pushing Wally World but go to Walmart and type in safe you will come up with 5 pages. Don't forget to bolt the lighter ones down. If they can steal a full sized safe then they can walk off smaller one and the lock boxes are easy to open with a crow bar. You can also insert those pistol racks in them to hold more handguns.

Also try Amazon smiles ( they make donations to a charity of your choice, I chose 2nd amendment foundation) they have free shipping with Prime or over a certain amount which will save money on shipping.

Take a look at the Stack On "Elite Pistol/Ammo Safe". Model number according to their web site is "E-4-MB-E-S".

Also a YouTube video entitled:

"Stack On Shooters Pistol/Ammo Safe"

I bought one and have been very happy with it.

I've seen safe's in that price range at my local Home Depot.
I did not really look at them as I already have two a 36 gun Stack-On and a 26 gun Browning. I'm sure the inside could be customized to what you need.
