Can't release slide w/o spring & Barrel

Had SW9VE apart for cleaning. Removed recoil spring assembly and barrel. I replaced slide to body w/o those parts. Now can't remove slide.

Why did you put the slide back on without the barrel and recoil spring precisely?

Other people have forgotten the barrel and RSA. Think there is a video about a jammed Glock on You Tube.

Successfully Repaired

I brought my 9ve to a gunsmith in N. Attleboro, MA. Before I could lay the barrel and spring on the counter, he had released the slide. A few seconds later all back together and working. He said I only had to hold the trigger to separate the parts. In all, less than 30 seconds.

Generally, the key to this is to get what you've assembled aligned into battery and follow the take down procedure . . .
