Car Brochures...Check out your first car

First new car--didn't bother looking for the used ones before that--a 1960 Falcon wagon, mint green. I was newly married and making ridiculously little money, so a fancier ride was out of the question.

I found mine:

1953 Ford Mainline Tudor Coupe, with a flathead V-8 (that made a whopping 110 HP!) Mine was 12 years old when I got it in 1965, and had been rode hard and put away wet. It had a cracked cylinder and no floor board on the driver's side...but it was my car.

My first Ford was a '29 Model A. Didn't find the body style in the brochure that I had. Mine was a Panel sedan. Solid steel where the rear windows were. Single door in the rear. Mine was owned by a flower shop in Oakland, Ca. But I did find a pic of a '39 Ford convertible I owned later on.

LVSteve I did find this on the 1966 Valiant like my Dad had when posted to the US. This one is a two-door like ours and in the same colour. [URL="http://www.valiant.org/stories/biggill.html" said:

Steve, I had an identical car except in light green. Mine had the smaller engine (IIRC 170 CID)). It could barely outrun a VW Beetle. Yea, I tried it once and we stayed fender to fender. :)
