Looking to buy a set of window deflectors (and possibly sun roof deflector) for my 2012 Toyota Camry XLE. So far Weather Tech look like the best bet, but would appreciate any input for you folks - good and bad ones.

I have always used Ventvisor. They work. Didn't really know there were other manufacturers.

I've had them on my last 3 or 4 truck's, I don't know what brand's I bought, I just went into an auto part's store and bought what ever they had on the shelf.

I've used off the shelf deflectors from Wal-Mart and I've used Weather Tech. The Weather Tech were easier to install but I saw no difference in quality or function. Weather Tech floor mats are great.

I've used weathertech on all of my vehicles since the mid 90s. Quality product and I like that they fit into the channel instead of sticking on with tape. Their mats and liners are great too. Worth the money.

How do those Weather Tech deflectors stand up to car washes and Winter ice and snow?

So, anyone out there know if the Weather Tech deflectors can stand up to the abuse of a mechanical car wash? How well do they work in ice and snow? Do they freeze the windows shut?

Never had a problem with any of those issues over the last 20 years I have used them.

What ever happened to wind wings? Roll down the window, open the wing and no pesky drafts blowing your hair all over. Window up in winter? Open the wing and the smoke from your Lucky is sucked right out. I miss them and don't even smoke any more. Rain channels above the window too. Perfect place to hang your left hand. MPG, drag coefficients, noise,,....sigh.

I have always missed the vents down the side near the floor, you pulled a knob under the side dash and they opened letting the breez in.

I've never understood why people like window deflectors. Can somebody clue me in on the attraction?

It allows fresh air into your car during inclement weather. Might not be such an issue in Vegas, but definitely helpful in areas of the country with rain, snow, etc.

I often drive with my windows down, occasionally it rains here in So. Fla yet not enough to warrant buttoning up and turning the A/C on. The deflectors change the slipstream enough so neither water dripping nor wind noise becomes a problem.

I really miss rain channels. Getting in or out of a wet car takes just long enough for the water to follow the tilt and douche either my knees or the back of my neck.
