Carolyn McCarthy readying gun control bill-for tomorrow

Call me a cynic, but the day after the shooting I ordered a bunch of extra Glock hicap mags from Midway. I can see it coming now.

I was a cynic at first, but I do not see any mag ban going into effect, at this time anyway. If Nobama wins a 2nd term, look out......I even read a quote where this shrew McCarthy is saying her bill isn't getting "the support it needs to pass at this time"

It's only the few soccer mom "guns and bullets are evil and kill people every day" crowd that cries the loudest about banning "those guns that hold 50 bullets"......never mind the fact that they speed down the road in their Kia Sportage talking on a cell phone and smoking a Marlboro Ultra Light with 10 screaming kids in the back, putting lives at risk all the time, but they'll be damned if they don't cry about gun control. I know several of these at the place I work, after the Arizona shooting they were like "do people really need clips that hold 100 bullets"......and the funny part is all of their husbands are "big time hunters".

Anyone see that article where she wanted to put more restrictions on the ban of magazines. Instead of just simply restricting all future magazines over 10 rounds, there are some other things she wants to do.
•Make it illegal to transfer, sell, or inherit magazines over the capacity of 10 rounds.
•Also, a loophole in the system she is trying to create, here it is:
Since there are no real markings indicating the date on which the pre-ban magazine was made, if caught with one and you did not have the original receipt or proof they were pre-ban magazines, you would be prosecuted for having magazines over the capacity of 10 rounds. They would be confiscated and you would be charged.

On a side note, I went out and bought a bunch of 9mm ammo this weekend. I feel like the prices are going to be jacked up very soon.

Also, this it to oldman....what are you talking about man. Just because I live in NY doesn't mean I agree with their politics. Also keep in mind just because I don't like the politics in NY doesn't mean I can just move. Its hard for people to move and find a new job, especially in today's economy and job market. All I can do is continue to fight for what I believe in.
