Has anyone added a NcStar carrying handle? Do you need a different front site? I was planning on adding a carrying handle with a see through scope mount on top for a red dot? My goal is to have a red dot and still be able to use my stock sites? Will this work? Any suggestions?

Welcome aboard!

All of the carry handles I've seen with the basic A2 rear sight work perfectly with he stock front post. I've got a UAG handle that I swap back and forth with the stock rear sight as my mood changes with no problems.

you can either mount a red dot on a see-thru riser or mount it forward of the handle and co-witness it with the irons.

Have to either really LOWER the front sight or RAISE the rear sight with this handle and the M&P15-22. Won't setup as IBSZ with the rear sight all the way down.

There are two different height handles so I guess this is the lower one.

Does the UAG handle front sight have a dual aperture?

I have the NcStar carry handle mounted on my 15-22 and it acts exactly the same as the standard rear sights that came with the rifle

I have a cheap UTG Version 6 carry handle. Dual aperture. The finish is matte and matches the rifle well. I have seen other inexpensive carry handles such as CAA that look like a shiny spray paint finish.

nc star

I added one on mine worked just fine with front sight, no moving needed
also has a slightly smaller peep which I liked better:)
And it matches the gun well

Will it zero at 50 yards with the rear sight all the way down? Without lowering the front sight too far? My handle can go back on another rifle if I find one that works with the sight down flush.
