As far as cats are concerned, THEY have domesticated US, hence the expression, "Dogs have owners; cats have staff."...A cat isn't really domesticated, IMHO, it's just "tamed", and some are a lot tamer than others.

I've read that human bites are the worst in terms of causing infections.Animal mouths are filthy, bacteria laden holes. If your tongue realized how nasty your mouth is, it would leap out screaming, run and hid.
As Churchill said about Russia, cats are sometimes "a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma."...What did I do to set her off? After I scooped the litterbox out, I dumped about a pound of new litter to empty the bag, and then crumpled it up. Instant rage!! ...

What did I do to set her off? After I scooped the litterbox out, I dumped about a pound of new litter to empty the bag, and then crumpled it up. Instant rage!! I had no pants on as I was about to get into the shower. My leg is never going to look the same again.
I just suggested this to one of the band players who was involved. His reply was, "Oh, I think that train has left the station. There's no doubt that DJ is trying to kill Branter"
Wow, all my cats, and mom's have bitten several times each, at least, and my one cat has clawed and bitten me badly about a dozen times. A couple of those were probably bad enough that I should have had stitches. I can't imagine putting even the worst of my cats down because of some local law. A cat isn't really domesticated, IMHO, it's just "tamed", and some are a lot tamer than others.
Dog people are wired different than cat people.
I don't agree with that as there are many like myself who have or had both cats and dogs and enjoy both.
I've seen a variant of this where the area around the base of the tail was marked "YOU FOOL". Some cats are very sensitive there. One of my gf's mega-moggies ("Charlie-of-epic-whiskers") is. Mine does like having his tummy rubbed.
You scrunched up the bag. Most cats react badly to that noise. The reaction can be what happened to you, or running away at Warp 9, you never know which is coming.
